A seafood meal that foodies want – Pan Bistro

Many friends have complained to me that they came to Thailand because of the fresh and cheap seafood. How do you know that when you come here, you will find that most of the seafood in restaurants are chilled! That’s right, I can tell you responsibly that most of the restaurants that target tourists actually use chilled food, even those super five-star hotels are no exception (there are about 10 self-operated restaurants in super five-star hotels There are only 1 or 2 rooms that use fresh food, and there is not even one room in a five-star hotel every minute).

So, is there no fresh food to eat in Phuket? of course not.

For example, the one we are going to talk about today – Pan Bistro, is a freshly slaughtered seafood restaurant. In fact, there are not a few seafood restaurants in the market. Xixi recommends this restaurant to everyone because of another more important reason: it suits Chinese tastes and the price is moderate.

Since I live near this store, in addition to recommending it to customers, I and my friends also come here to eat from time to time. And Pan Bistro can be regarded as an Internet celebrity restaurant (after all, it ranks very high on Dianping), so I often meet various compatriots eating here. But after coming here a lot, I found that most people don’t even know what its specialties are, and they usually order some popular products—tom yum kung, pineapple rice, mango sticky rice, etc…

Personally, I think that these big-budget products are not good enough, let alone outstanding. Especially as a mango sticky rice lover, this one is really quite ordinary, but the price is still very conscientious.

Therefore, what we want to try should be their best specialty dishes.

So what are they good at?

My first recommendation is the crab. Whether it is boiled crab in red curry or fried crab with garlic, the umami taste of the crab can be well preserved, and it is not concealed by the strong flavor method. After eating the curry crab, put the white rice noodles into the juice, wait for the sweet and spicy curry to seep into it completely, and eat it. That taste, Sisi now writes and writes and wants to stop writing immediately to have another full meal. As for the fried crab with minced garlic, its aroma is very attractive. I remember that after sharing the whole crab with my friends, I still fought for the rest of the fried minced garlic for a long time (God, why are we so naive).

Next, we are going to talk about one thing that Chinese people like to eat when they come to Thailand-lobster.

As a Guangzhou native who seeks fresh taste, traditionally speaking, we do not advocate the use of strong flavors to prepare seafood such as lobster. If my dad finds out, it is estimated that I will waste excellent raw materials in various ways. However, in places like Southeast Asia, they don’t know what it means to be “fresh and tender”, so it’s good if they don’t waste money. So, never mind, let’s move on.

Although this lobster dish is also fried with garlic, it can still taste delicious like the fried crab mentioned above. Then, I just forgot to mention that it will taste even better with that green chili sauce!

As for friends who like to eat shrimp, in addition to Pipi shrimp, the shrimp fried rice and other shrimp-based dishes here are worth a try.

I don’t know if it’s because everyone thinks this is just a seafood restaurant, so I haven’t seen Chinese diners try their excellent traditional Thai dish – curry roast duck. Because a lot of fruit is put in, the taste is not only spicy, but also sweet and sour, which is very appetizing.

Then I will talk about one of my favorite desserts – coconut milk glutinous rice ice cream! ! ! ! ! ! In Thailand, ice cream is eaten with glutinous rice. Before Xixi came to work here, she didn’t know that ice cream and glutinous rice are a perfect match, which can bring a completely different feeling to diners! ! ! From a health point of view, ice cream is a cold thing, and eating too much will hurt the stomach, while glutinous rice is a food that warms the stomach, and the combination of the two will neutralize it. Therefore, since discovering this way of eating, Cecilia, who has a cold stomach, no longer has to worry about not being able to eat ice cream in summer~~ It is simply a gospel for foodies with weak stomach functions, isn’t it? !

My friend asked, how to eat this stuff? It’s simple, scoop some ice cream, spread it over sticky rice, and gulp it into your mouth. By the way, if you dig a little coconut paste (the one in the small plate on the right) and spread it evenly on it, the aroma and taste will be even better.

As a semi-native who has been in Bangtao, a wealthy area of Phuket for a long time, I can tell you that it is almost impossible to find a seafood restaurant nearby that is more in line with the taste that Chinese people like.

Recommended degree: ★★★★☆

Reason for recommendation: The decoration is acceptable, the price is moderate, the seafood is fresh, and the taste is suitable for Chinese people.

Tips:

1. For guests who stay in the villas or apartments under my friend, there is free pick-up and drop-off service when booking the restaurant.

2. They provide takeaway service.

3. The evening is the peak period, and there are so many people, it is recommended to book in advance.
