Our Story

2017, one of our founders, Cecilia, bacame the management trainee of Banyan Tree Phuket, Thailand after she graduated from a top hospitality college in Swizerland and finished her intern in UAE. The beautiful scenery and mysterious culture left a deep impression on her, and then she found business opportunities in tourism and accommodation rental.
Another founder, Jemery, met a soul mate from Thailand at an international police forum when he was young. Eventually he moved to Bangkok and started his tourism business.
Although they all have their own wonderful stories, they all stayed on this land by chance. This is where Thai Exclusive started.

The best restaurant in Phuket old town – Onechun

What I want to introduce today is it-One Chun. When I first saw the name, I pronounced it as “Wen Chun” (Cantonese pronunciation), but I always felt that something was weird. Later, I went back to check the information and found out that it was called “Wan Jan”, which means “week” in Thai. One means…

So what do you recommend about this restaurant?

First of all, the extremely convenient location and very nostalgic decoration. This restaurant is located in an old building at the beginning of the last century in Phuket Old Town. The interior decoration (doors, windows, walls, lighting, tables and chairs, etc.) basically retains the Nanyang style of nearly a hundred years ago, as if time has never moved forward. , so that customers always mistakenly think that they have traveled back to the old days after entering the restaurant.

The most fundamental core of a restaurant is of course food. The reason why One Chun can become one of the favorite restaurants of Phuket locals is closely related to its high-quality products and affordable prices.

The dish “Shrimp Sang” is no stranger to many native Cantonese. Shunde’s Yusheng and Shrimp Sang are one of Xixi’s favorites. Generally speaking, “Shunde Shrimp” is sweet and refreshing, the meat is elastic, and the umami taste overflows in the mouth after chewing carefully, which is endless aftertaste. However, this “Thai-style shrimp” is a little different. It is not as sweet and smooth as Shunde’s, but a little “gummy”.

The signature dish recommended by the waiter – Thai-style fried crab meat, with hot and sour sauce, very appetizing. Although there is nothing extraordinary, the production is absolutely superior, and the price is quite cheap.

Let’s talk about a more special dish-crispy fried tuna. To be honest, when the little brother brought it up, Xixi really didn’t realize what it was. But this tuna bibimbap is really top-notch, with a crispy taste, and adding a few green papaya salads that are not too spicy, it is very suitable for appetizing in the summer.

Normally, what should diners do after eating and drinking? Pay the bill and leave! That’s right, friends who come to One Chun for the first time pay attention, you should carefully observe this restaurant like a nostalgic museum.

Generally speaking, the price is close to the people, the product is authentic and there are occasional surprises. Located in the city center, it is convenient and easy to find. The decoration is very Nanyang style, and there are a lot of old things hidden, which is very interesting.

Recommended degree: ★★★★☆

Reason for recommendation: The nostalgic restaurant with high cost performance is also a good place not to be missed by friends who like old things.
