Midnight Paradise for Foodies in Bangtao Beach – 25 restaurant
Hello, time flies, it’s time for a new series of Phuket foraging tweets. I am a night owl, and I used to get off work in a hotel before getting off work at midnight, so in fact, supper is the most important meal in my day.
Unfortunately, apart from Patong, there are not many good places to eat late at night in Phuket (at least not as many as in Guangzhou, but my big Guangzhou is a city that never sleeps, and men, women and children are night owls, so it can be regarded as a special case that can be ignored). And I have always been resistant to this place in Patong, so when my Korean friend took me to this restaurant called “25” for the first time, I fell in love with it immediately and became a regular customer.
The reason why it is called “25” is to refer to the concept of 25 hours of operation. But in fact, they only do the evening market, and they open around 16:00 in the afternoon, and they have been open until midnight. The specific closing time is unknown, but I often go there at two or three in the morning, and it is still open.
The store has a huge space, because the boss and the staff don’t speak English very well, so I recommend you to use body language when ordering. Or like me: à la carte with pictures. Of course, there were no photos when I went there for the first time, and there was no way to order dishes with pictures. At this time, it should be a show operation: let the boss make the decision himself!
In addition, I am really lazy, and often I will ask the boss to order directly, as long as she thinks it is delicious, she will bring it up. Um… In fact, basically every time the boss recommends it, it tastes better than what I ordered…
In addition to the special dishes above that I can’t name, the fried 60th birthday here is on the must-try list. Friends who can’t eat spicy food remember to tell them to be less spicy (Thai: “Pei Ni Noi”), otherwise they will go to heaven!
By the way, white porridge is also doing well. If you want to eat the original fried sixties, but you are afraid of spicy food, you can eat it as shown in the picture below.
One time when I had a headache and tried some new dishes, the boss suddenly brought out a Thai bitter gourd from the kitchen and asked us if we would like scrambled eggs with bitter gourd. Thinking that this size is quite small, it shouldn’t be too hard, so just try it. The result is really unexpected. I have never eaten such a bitter bitter gourd since I grew up. Friends who like bitter gourd are welcome to try it, it is absolutely refreshing!
As for the Thai grilled fish dish, it is really hard to say. It’s not that it’s not delicious, mainly because I really don’t like to use fresh fish for grilling. This is purely personal preference, and my friends think this dish is not bad.
Many friends are very concerned about the price of dishes. A dish here is about 100-150 baht, which is a good deal. Finally, share a behavior that makes everyone look up。
