The beautiful scenery and mysterious culture left a deep impression on her, and then she found business opportunities in tourism and accommodation rental.
Another founder, Jemery, met a soul mate from Thailand at an international police forum when he was young. Eventually he moved to Bangkok and started his tourism business.
Although they all have their own wonderful stories, they all stayed on this land by chance. This is where Thai Exclusive started.

Why I never recommend tourists to stay in Patong’s hotel

If it is your first time come to Phuket, you may consider stay in Patong. But I will say, please consider carefully.

Patong Beach, also known as Patong Beach, is horseshoe-shaped, with soft sand, clear sea water, and gentle waves. It is one of the busiest beaches on Phuket Island. The beach stretches for 4 kilometers, with fine sand and clean waters, and you can find both static and dynamic activities on this slender sandy beach. This crescent-shaped beach is a great place for swimming and a variety of water activities. As of 2008, many new hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and coffee shops have been built along the beach. The more lively it gets at night, it becomes an ideal place for tourists who like nightlife.

This introduction is not wrong, but it is not total correct. There are indeed many hotels here, but few luxury hotels; there are many restaurants, but they are expensive restaurants that never see Thai people; In a nutshell, this is a veritable tourist area. The locals never enter this area except for work.

So why Patong Beach is so famous? Isn’t it an attraction? Actually yes, it is a scenic spot, a paradise for grown-ups. It was originally famous because of its rich nightlife. How great is the nightlife here? After nightfall, there are ladyboy shows, adult shows, and pornographic bars all over the street. This is indeed a good place for single men and women who like to party and go clubbing.

However, some guests choose to live in Padang when they come on vacation with their children.

There are also many guests who have been to or lived in Patong and then complain. Some were cheated by monsters, and some were stolen and robbed. To be honest, it is not surprising to encounter such situations in the red light district. After all, the Thais who hang out here all have some backgrounds that are not easy to mess with. Therefore, those travelers who attach great importance to safety issues, it is not a nice choice for you.

Food

Besides, Patong must be the first paradise for making money in Phuket. Take Banzaan Market, which is popular. If you think the things there are cheap, it is because you have never been to a real local market… I generally recommend that customers who insist on eating there should bargain with the shopkeepers. , at least 30% discound. But even so, there are still many complaints.

Even the so-called night market next to the Banzaan market is full of pitfalls. Many people think that the things in the night market are very cheap. Compared with the restaurants and shops next door, they are indeed. However, the price of the same thing may only be half or even a third of the price outside Patong. But after all, it is a tourist area, so there is nothing wrong with the price. The point is, the food in the night market in Patong is simply incomprehensible. It was so unpalatable.

Don’t be greedy for cheap, just eat at the night market! wrong! There are so many well-known restaurants in Patong, just choose one at random. That’s right! There are really many “famous restaurants” in Patong! ! ! But don’t forget that the “well-known” you see are all seen on tripadvisor. How did these ratings come from? They are all scored by foreigners. To put it bluntly, these restaurants are relatively delicious tourist restaurants. For example, the very famous restaurant on the cliff. The reputation is really good, the decoration and scenery are also great, and the products have been improved according to the tastes of foreigners. Of course, the price is also very expensive…

A foodie who just came Phuket to work not long ago, he kept shouting after returning from his first visit to Patong: “I will never come to this poor place with no real local food again.” If eating is for you, yes A treat, not just a meal. And you just want to experience the authentic Thai flavor, then you seem to live in the wrong place.

Shopping

As for shopping, Jungceylon Shopping Center is not a good choice to be honest.

Probably because there are too many people there, I personally think that the Central Festival in Phuket Town is more comfortable to visit. And a bunch of places selling duty-free goods, such as King Power Duty Free Shop, are basically located in Phuket Town. It takes half an hour to take a taxi from Patong to Phuket Town, 600~700 baht。

So, if you live in Patong for shopping, sorry, you seem to have chosen the wrong place.

Conclusion

Having said so much, is Patong really so unbearable, is it not worth going at all? It depends on the individual.

If you are friends who like nightlife, Patong is really suitable for you. When choosing a place to stay, be sure to choose a hotel or homestay near Bangla Road.

If you are traveling with two or three friends or a family of young and old, come to Phuket just for vacation and pass the time. Then, I sincerely suggest not to live here. The beaches in Bangtao, Kamala, and Surin are far cleaner and more beautiful than Patong, and there are fewer people…

Friends who have more spare time, Patong still needs to visit. But it’s good to go there one night to see the shows, there is no need to live in it. Of course, if ladyboys and pole dancing aren’t your thing, then this place can be almost completely ignored…
