2017, one of our founders, Cecilia, bacame the management trainee of Banyan Tree Phuket, Thailand after she graduated from a top hospitality college in Swizerland and finished her intern in UAE. The beautiful scenery and mysterious culture left a deep impression on her, and then she found business opportunities in tourism and accommodation rental.
Another founder, Jemery, met a soul mate from Thailand at an international police forum when he was young. Eventually he moved to Bangkok and started his tourism business.
Although they all have their own wonderful stories, they all stayed on this land by chance. This is where Thai Exclusive started.

The well-deserved five-star restaurant – Siam Supper Club

Because of work, I have actually been to Siam Supper Club many times. But in the past, we always talked about things, and every time someone else paid the bill, so we didn’t pay attention to the product or the price. Invited by Ctrip this year, it happens to be a restaurant that needs to try food, so I can really feel it with my heart.

In fact, I made two trips to Siam for this tasting. When I went there for the first time, because there were so many people that night, I didn’t prepare a food tasting list carefully, so my impression of Siam was very general. Later, because the photos taken for the first time were not up to standard, I had to bite the bullet and go again. Unexpectedly, everything changed my mind completely.

There will be a live show (live performance) in the restaurant at night, the atmosphere is very good and quite emotional. In terms of service, when there are many people, it will be a little messy, and the greetings are not very thorough. However, from the boss to the manager to the staff, they all try their best to serve every guest, so this little flaw can be understood and forgiven.

Then, I will not say much about the dining etiquette and process of Fine Dining (high-end restaurants). Friends who don’t know can read my previous articles: How to eat Western food elegantly? The following went straight to the product review.

Bread is the most inconspicuous part of Fine Dining, but it can best reflect the quality of the link. The first time I went, the bread was a bit soggy and not crispy. When I ate it for the second time, there was no problem. Later, I reported this detail to my boss Sean, and found that it should be an occasional small mistake. Sean promised that the same mistake would not happen again in the future. Siam attaches great importance to customer feedback, and I will try it myself from time to time to ensure the quality of the product, which makes me feel at ease.

When I came here for the first time, I sat next to a foreigner couple who have settled in Thailand for a long time. They have always recommended me and my friends to try the Grilled Goat’s Cheese (slow-roasted goat cheese). In fact, when we heard Goat Cheese, both of us remembered the cheese appreciation class when we were studying in Switzerland. Although two years have passed, the smell of Goat Cheese is still deeply imprinted in our minds. Therefore, at the beginning, we strongly rejected this recommendation. Later, they really couldn’t resist their enthusiastic recommendation, and finally bit the bullet and ordered a portion.

To my surprise, this dish is really delicious! ! ! After Goat Cheese is specially processed, the smell of mutton is completely removed. The chef was so creative that he added peanuts to the cheese and surrounded the outermost layer with dry fruit. Even if you taste this Goat Cheese alone, it is not a problem without bread, apricot leaves and honey. Because the aroma of the cheese is fully released after roasting, the soft cheese is strengthened after adding peanuts, and the entrance is followed by a hint of sweetness. The overall texture and taste are outstanding. Of course, with the salty crisp bread, the apricot leaf that helps digestion and relieves greasiness, and the honey that enhances the sweetness, everything is more perfect!

Since this dish is so outstanding, I couldn’t resist asking the owner Sean to order this dish when I came for the second time. Then, Sean taught me a better way to eat it. It is to pour vinegar on the bread first, spread the cheese evenly, sandwich the apricot leaves, spread honey, and eat with raw beef. For this dish, Xixi’s evaluation is exactly the same as that of the foreigner couple: “This is definitely the best Goat Cheese in the world!”

This raw beef (Wagyu Beef Carpaccio) still needs to be carefully explained. Unlike the traditional tartar, the beef is minced and eaten raw. In fact, this dish should be called “beef sashimi”. The beef is carefully selected, just fat and lean, and has a good taste. Even tasting a la carte is a very good choice. Of course, it is even more wonderful when paired with the unique Goat Cheese here.

When I went there for the first time, because I didn’t prepare it well, I ordered a relatively ordinary grilled salmon fillet for the main course. Unexpectedly, the chef mastered the heat of this dish quite well. The outside is charred and the inside is tender, the fish fillet will not loose when cut, and the meat remains delicious and tender. You know, as a native of South Vietnam, I personally have always disliked the way Western food cooks fish (except for raw food). Because the fish cooked in almost all restaurants cannot meet the Cantonese standard for tender fish. By the way, the roasted crispy cucumber in the side dish is very tasty, extra points!

The first time I went to a friend to order the 5-ripe rib-eye steak, I knew it was over when I bit into it, and it was definitely over 8-ripe. The whole steak is relatively dry, and the blood has evaporated to collect the juice. I’m very disappointed with this dish, it’s really not as good as Sam’s Steaks & Grill at Holiday Inn in Padang. Everyone, please protect yourself from lightning!

The second time I came to Siam Supper Club, because I arrived too early, their house hadn’t opened yet, and Sisi was ready to leave. Just happened to meet the boss Sean there, and then we got to know each other after chatting. Sean is a British citizen who has lived in Tianjin for two generations. He was born and raised in Malaysia. He came to Phuket, Thailand 25 years ago, and then managed Siam Supper Club for 19 years! Later, Sean invited me to dinner to try the products of his new chef.

Let me talk about this baked squid with beans first. Fresh squid is stuffed with dried meat, and then baked with potatoes and soybeans. Although the umami taste of the squid is covered, the texture is very special and the flavor combination is perfect, it is worth a try.

Baked macaroni and cheese, this seemingly ordinary pasta, gave Xixi a lot of surprises. When I came here for the first time, I was deeply attracted by the aroma of this dish. At that time, my friend even suggested: Although I am full, why don’t I order another one? It’s so delicious! Thankfully, it lived up to my expectations of it. The amount of cheese is just right, full of aroma, but not greasy to eat.

Hey, I coded in the middle of the night but recalled this taste, so hungry…

Finally came the last main course – baked potatoes. Sean said it was a bit overbaked, probably because the tastes of Asians and Europeans are still somewhat different. I’m not a big fan of crispy potatoes, so the mash was overcooked for Sean and too raw for me. Friends who like to eat crispy potatoes may wish to give it a try. Friends who do not have this preference do not need to order this dish.

In a good restaurant, in addition to good food, drinks are also a very important scoring item. Originally, I shouldn’t drink while driving, but under Sean’s warm hospitality, I still drank two glasses of Cosmopolitan. This Bartender brother (bartender) must be praised, the balance of the whole glass of cocktail is very good. I remembered what Master taught me in the first bartending class: “You will never feel any alcohol from the best cocktail. Balance is the key in bartending.” Indeed, a top bartender can put enough The amount of alcohol, but people can not drink alcohol taste. It is the highest state of cocktails that can make guests drunk without drinking alcohol. As for the cocktail made by this little brother, I knew I was going to fall down tonight when I took the first sip, but in the end I couldn’t help drinking it until I vomited before I stopped (Master, I’m sorry for you, mix and taste wine The skills are completely degraded, it’s embarrassing for you)

In theory, dessert should be eaten after the main course is finished. Because I was too full and drank too much (I vomited all over the place, I was super ashamed, but I found out that they were very careful in the decoration of the toilet), so I was exempted. When I got home drunk that night, I started coding this review for Ctrip. I really appreciate Sean’s warm hospitality. Siam is a high-end restaurant worth frequenting, and I will definitely come again!

Reason for recommendation: Although it is not an affiliated restaurant of a five-star hotel, the product, service and environment have all reached the standard of Fine Dining. The restaurant is located on Bang Tao Beach. The decoration theme is the European and American high society in the 1960s. There will be Jazz live performances in the evening, adding a romantic atmosphere to the entire restaurant. From the boss to the staff, they are very professional and friendly, and everyone has a good answer about the dishes and wine pairings. Especially the bartenders, the balance of the cocktails is very good, and their bartending level and service are top-notch. The products are creative and stable. Compared with restaurants of the same level, the price is quite reasonable. On the whole, it has made great progress compared to the previous performance, and the gourmet Lin Yixing is well-deserved!
